This Privacy Policy explains how DVSA Theory Test Kit ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect as little data as possible and never sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
1a. Information stored locally on your device
All study progress, quiz results, bookmarks, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device only using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
1b. Purchase & subscription data
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes your transaction via Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat may collect:
- A device identifier (anonymous)
- Purchase history and subscription status
We do not receive or store your payment card details. Please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for full details.
1c. Notifications
If you opt in to daily reminders, we schedule local push notifications on your device using Notifee. No notification data is transmitted to external servers.
1d. Contact enquiries
If you contact us via email or our contact form, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, date of birth, or government ID;
- Location data;
- Device contacts, camera, or microphone access;
- Analytics or behavioural tracking data (no third-party analytics SDKs are embedded in the App).
3. How We Use Your Information
The limited information we process is used solely to:
- Verify your Pro subscription status;
- Deliver local push notifications you opt into;
- Respond to support enquiries.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- RevenueCat — for subscription management (see Section 1b);
- Apple / Google — as required by their platforms for App Store purchases;
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
5. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or reset your progress within the App. Support emails are retained for a maximum of 12 months. RevenueCat purchase records are retained per their own policy.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access, correct, or delete your personal data;
- The right to object to or restrict processing;
- The right to data portability.

8. Security
All study and progress data resides on your device and is never transmitted. We use industry-standard practices to safeguard any support communications. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
